The 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro and M4 Max chips debuted with a substantial RAM boost over the prior generation, reaching 24GB. While the overall port assortment remained unchanged relative to their M3 Pro and M3 Max equivalents, these heftier models incorporated faster Thunderbolt 5 ports. This is in addition to an SD slot, a dedicated full-sized HDMI port, and a 3.5mm jack.
